Dragon’s Back

It’s been almost three years in HK now, but this city quickly lost its ostensible charm after the first year. Hence, there is zero urgency to gush about the stuff (eat, shop, play, etc) that we’ve done through and through here. Today, however, was refreshing. Last summer was kicked off by an incompleted (my weak friends, myself included, gave up halfway while our hcore friends continued to the highest point) hike at Dbay; this summer’s premier (and tbh will probably be the only) hike was a breezy stroll to Tai Long Wan. I guess the last time I came anywhere close to hiking was on a seafood hunt to Lamma Island last November - one particularly uncharacteristic yet memorable day. Anyway, at this point in time, I’d like to quote some Kanye: “And the weather’s so breezy. Man, why can’t life always be this easy?”

I am awaiting HQ photos from my friend’s monster camera (DSLR) to save for good onto my computer to mark the official completion of this event, but first I must go wash the grime (and about half a bottle of mosquito repellent) off of me. Tonight I will finally get some quality shut-eye :)
